BENAS LIANDZBERGIS

“I am Benas Liandzbergis, and in 2022 I completed my Master’s studies at the Vilnius Academy of Arts, Department of Local Art (formerly Fresco/Mosaic). In my works, I use irony, sarcasm, and paradoxes as my main tools, although I should not get attached to these words. I raise questions about myself, society, the collective choices of all of us, and how they affect us in the long run. I also record personal experiences that have  or are taking place. The works are about the era in which I live and its fragmentation. About an era in which we have so much freedom (well, at least in our country) and yet many of us still have our own prisons – created by ourselves or others. There are certain contradictions in the works, which I invite you to find and find all the pleasure in them.” – Benas Liandzbergis
