“The main theme that pervades the entire creation idea is man and the protection of his soul, twists and turns of spiritual searches, discoveries of experiences, harmony between nature and man. The leitmotif of light is both a symbol of the omnipresent Divine principle and an element of pictorial expression. In order to express it, I use various styles in my paintings – decorative, soft impressionism, abstraction or gentle surrealism, magical realism. I really appreciate rich, vibrant painting and soft, vibrating thin layer painting technique, the expression and delicacy of the stroke, coloristic post-impressionist painting. While still studying at the Kaunas Art Gymnasium, I was strongly influenced by the impressionists, the rich painting of Van Gogh, the medieval, Persian miniatures, and later – the decorativeness of Klimt’s work, combined with the gentle impressionistic depiction of the human body. From Lithuanian artists – the works of the painter Povilas Ričardas Vaitiekūnas, the late meditative painting of Algimantas Švėgžda, the vital and spatial stained glass creations of A. Stoškus. My work is about how we all need that place – Paradise, where we can step back from the day’s work and the avalanche of information, how we need to rest, calm down, look at ourselves and the surroundings, events in the world from a distance, rethink our relationship with important people and events. Be at peace with your soul and mind. And then dive back into the flow of life, live, create and change with the new strength.” The artist works with oil and acrylic paint, pencil, watercolor and mixed techniques, she also paints on silk. She has created collections of postcards and miniatures. Organizes personal and participates in joint exhibitions (more than 30), symposiums. Paintings have been purchased by private collectors in Lithuania, Japan, USA, Canada, Sweden, Italy, Germany, Finland.
