“He paints from sometimes visible inner meanings of objects, things, from the “holiest of holies”, which is hidden in each of us but not sought and found by everyone. It is a place of tasting, savoring, otherwise known as contemplation of inner reality, our spiritual nature and mystery, which is usually only achieved in an irrational way. There are many ways to talk about this sacred realm – through simple everyday signs, through symbols or metaphors, or through pure color and abstract form alone. The artist chooses the latter, bare, laconic, wordless, inviting to focus our inner hearing and sight, refusing to define what is indefinable, not one-dimensional…” – Elvyra Kučinskaitė
