“R. Martinionis lived in an apartment with interior. And he himself was the interior. And there was his thing, and there was his light, and the interior lived its own life. And the interior went for a walk. And they became paintings in which everything fits. And everything that doesn’t fit, and pours out of the memory drawers. All, all of the impressions, the fantasies that come from them, the remnants of dreams and movies… Somewhere in the distance, a wooden plough roasts in the sun that was lost by the argonauts, graffiti is pouring on the wall curtains… A child’s wooden horse is rocking back and forth in yesterday’s tin void… Pictures about somewhere. Pictures about something. About interior promenades. To somewhere and somewhere else. ” – art critic Ignas Kazakevičius
