HARMONY

Harmony ("Dermė") combines the work of two Lithuanian artists working in different fields: Neringa Žukauskaitė's graphics and Rūta Šipalytė's ceramic sculptures. This exhibition was presented for the first time in 2022 at Krebsen Gallery in Copenhagen, Denmark. It was part of a project that will continue in 2022-2023, presenting Danish and Lithuanian artists (organizers: the Lithuanian Embassy in Denmark and the cultural attaché for Scandinavian countries). This time, in Klaipėda's Baroti gallery, the exhibition "Dermė" presents new improvisations of harmony.

This collaboration between two artists is the presentation and combination of unique individual creative pursuits in a common space. Both authors develop the theme in their own way, but they are looking for points of contact, a mutual harmony of planar and volumetric art. The juxtaposition of the two artists' latest works reveals the connections between different environments, local sensations, and the resulting harmony of different artistic expressions. The consonance of their work, new rhythms, meaningful and conceptual layers, overlaps of images are important for artists.
