The main motif of creativity – nature and man. The composition of the works is associative, metaphorical, paradoxical, the form is constructive, abstracted. Texture of the material is highlighted, giving the impression of archaic processing. Works have archaic, close-to-nature forms, showing a distinct pagan worldview. The human form is the starting point for the artist’s work. The same theme – the human silhouette is repeated in different ways, and it finds a different, new dynamic solution. Whether it is a human figure made of small bronze twigs or a huge one made of straw. The human body becomes an integral part of the sculpture, and the person himself becomes an observer and participant of the sculpture, thus the sculpture becomes interactive, inviting for participation. In his work, A. Ališanka uses traditional materials: bronze, stone, wood, which modern sculptors tend to ignore. The materials through which the sculptor tries to get in touch with nature are stone, wood, amber, straw, ice, snow, felt.
