NERINGA ŽUKAUSKAITĖ

Graphic artist Neringa Žukauskaitė is a member of the Union of Lithuanian Artists. She organized personal exhibitions in Lithuania, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, USA, also participated in more than 70 joint exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad. In 1997, she was awarded a diploma at the international exlibris exhibition “Lietuviškai knygai- 450”, Vilnius. The artist has illustrated about 30 books for children. She passes on her experience in the field of graphics by teaching children and adults.

Neringa Žukauskaitė creates drawings (on canvas), wood and linen engravings (on canvas and paper), monotypes. She creates with old graphic techniques, carves wood and linoleum then hand presses on paper or canvas. While creating with classical graphic techniques, the artist brings out a modern and new approach to graphics, combining multi-layeredness with empty spaces, pauses and a light monotype line.
