When I Couldn’t Utter a Word .....
On June 27, 2025 (Friday) at 6:00 PM, the exhibition "When I Couldn't Utter a Word ......" by Dainius Liškevičius, laureate of the Lithuanian National Prize for Culture and Arts, will open at the KADS Baroti Gallery (Didžioji Vandens St. 2, Klaipėda).
"The Portal:
Nine capital letters, the first of the alphabet, formed from animal bones bound with beeswax, remnants from the family table. Do you agree that animals are better, happier than humans? The oracle in the form of an owl: Can you read it? Owl droppings. Can’t tell the forest from the trees. I shout! How does one awaken from the dream-state of time? Perhaps it's impossible? Darkness ...................... Ashes. Will you try to open it?"— D. Liškevičius
The exhibition will be on view until July 19.
